The Golden Hour

R. Adams Cowley is credited with promoting the concept of the Golden Hourthe period of time immediately after a traumatic injury in which there is the highest likelihood that prompt medical and surgical treatment will save a life.

Trauma Care at Main Line Health

The Main Line Health trauma team is made up of  multidisciplinary specialists, including trauma and critical care surgeons, emergency medicine physicians, neurosurgeons, orthopaedic surgeons, cardiac surgeons, oral-maxillofacial surgeons and plastic surgeons.

Our certified trauma nurses, dedicated anesthesiologists and intensive care physicians work around the clock to ensure patients receive the best possible trauma care.

 

Lankeanau Medical Center & Paoli Hospital

Once patients arrive at a Main Line Health Trauma Center, our team of specialists is immediately available to provide fast, comprehensive care. Utilizing the most advanced diagnostic tools available, including radiology and lab services, the team is then able mobilize specialized treatments for all types of injury.

The Force

The SOMATOM Force is a state-of-the-art imaging tool that provides ultra-fast, highly precise analysis. Intelligent automation and 4D imaging enable new levels of image quality. The Force allows the team to have a fast, accurate assessment in order to begin immediate treatment on the trauma patient.

Day one after a traumatic injury starts the first step toward recovery. As one of the most comprehensive rehabilitation systems in the Mid-Atlantic, Bryn Mawr Rehab in Malvern, Pennsylvania, has been delivering advanced rehabilitation services for more than 50 years.

At Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital, we offer treatment and therapy for many diverse conditions and injuries. Our creative approach for inpatient treatment entails intensive, customized therapy from a team of dedicated experts. This continuum of care is crucial to delivering positive patient outcomes.

State of the Art Technology

The industry leading technology utilized by staff and clinicians at Bryn Mawr Rehab allows us to remain on the forefront of ingenuity and patient-specific solutions. Some of the state of the art technology available at Bryn Mawr include harness/robotic exoskeletons, driving simulators, screen-reading or voice recognition software, environmental control systems, communication boards and even prosthetic devices.

Having cutting-edge technology available to our team, from the moment you’re loaded into the ambulance, to the first steps you take out our front door – allows us to craft a customized response and recovery plan, providing our patients a huge advantage in survival and recovery rates.

In addition to the outstanding inpatient rehab experience, Bryn Mawr Rehab provides specialized outpatient services to our community, at eight convenient locations, including concussion rehab, driver rehab, assistive technology, pelvic floor rehab, cancer rehab, orthopedic treatment, sports medicine, and much more.
